To protect your privacy and ensure your return is processed quickly, you must remove your personal accounts and perform a factory reset before sending your device back to us.
Before resetting, you must turn off Find My.
Sign out of iCloud: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign Out.
Unpair: If returning an Apple Watch, unpair it from your iPhone.
Reset: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Erase All Content and Settings.
Macs: If you have a newer Mac, go to System Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Remove Google Account: Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Select your Google Account > Remove Account.
Note: This prevents "Factory Reset Protection" from locking the phone to your email for the next user.
Reset: Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
Backup: Ensure your files are saved to OneDrive or an external drive.
Reset: Go to Start > Settings > System > Recovery.
Clean Drive: Click Reset PC and choose "Remove everything." For maximum security, select "Local reinstall" and choose to "Clean the data" (this prevents data recovery).
Remove SIM & SD Cards: Don't forget to pop the tray and take out your SIM card or microSD memory cards.
Remove Accessories: Please keep your personal cases, screen protectors, or custom cables unless they were part of the original bundle.
Log Out of Apps: While a factory reset usually handles this, itβs good practice to ensure you've logged out of banking and social media apps.
Staff Tip: If you are unable to access the screen (e.g., the display is broken), please include a note in your return package stating that the device is still logged into your account. Our technicians will contact you to help clear the device remotely via iCloud or Google Dashboard.
